China University of Petroleum（East China）

China University of Petroleum (UPC) is a national key university directly affiliated to the Ministry of Education and a member of the national “211 Project”, “innovation platform for preponderant discipline” and “Double First-Rate” universities. UPC is co-constructed by the Ministry of Education, five national energy enterprise groups and the People’s Government of Shandong Province. Honored as the cradle of scientific and technological talents for petroleum industry, UPC is an important base of training cutting-edge talents in petroleum and petrochemical industry. It has already developed into an engineering-oriented, multi-disciplinary and well-rounded university specialized in petroleum and petrochemical.UPC has two campuses in Dongying city and Qingdao city. The new Qingdao Campus is the main campus facing the Tangdao Bay and backed by the Little Pearl Hill with picturesque scenery. The old Dongying campus is located in a nationally most famous oilfield city and now well serves as university research and practice base. The university has established a complete education system, enrolling 20000 full-time undergraduates, over 5700 postgraduates, about 1100 overseas students and more than 70000 registered correspondence network students. It has a highly qualified faculty which ensures the quality of teaching and research. The university has 1769 teachers at present, among which there are 1020 professors and associate professors, 180 doctoral supervisors
