Harbin Engineering University

Harbin Engineering University (HEU) was founded in 1953. HEU consists of 16 colleges, over 40 scientific research institutions and over 150 scientific research and teaching laboratories. As a significant base for student training and scientific research in the fields of Shipping Industry, Marine Equipment, Ocean Exploration, and Nuclear Application, HEU has formed a well-structured professional discipline system which reveals salient characteristics in major disciplines and support from other relevant ones. With ‘internationalization’ and ‘open-up’ strategies, HEU has established stable cooperative relationships with more than 100 universities and institutions from 25 countries. HEU is the institution with “Chinese Government Scholarship Programs”, “National Postgraduate Student Abroad Program for High-level University Construction”, and “Outstanding Undergraduate International Exchange Program", and jointly established “Confucius Institute” with South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University.
